HIGHLIGHTS OF EXPERIENCE
5/01 to Present VICE PRESIDENT/SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER Bury & Partners, Inc., San Antonio, TX. As a Vice President and Senior Project Manager for Bury & Partners, I am responsible for one of four teams in the San Antonio office. I manage all aspects of every project from conception to completion. These duties include meeting with clients to determine their needs, budgets, and expectations, preparing proposals, design and supervising designers, cadd technicians, and interns during construction document preparation, reviewing budgets, performing workload projections, monthly billing, and site visits during construction to see that the job is completed on schedule and within budget. I attend many Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council meetings, as required, to have property platted and zoned or rezoned for the intended developments. I work very closely with city staff of many different cities for projects located state wide to insure that all construction documents adhere to local code requirements to obtain necessary permits. I have been predominantly involved with private land development projects within the past two years. Past projects have included the following:
Home Depot – preparation of construction documents for approximately 15 different +/- 134,000 square foot Home Depot stores in different cities within Texas with construction costs ranging from 10-15 million dollars each.
Silverado 16 Cinema and retail subdivision – included platting of 24 acres, public utility extensions, and a special project with the City of San Antonio to provide a “mini regional” detention facility for the development of a 16-screen movie theater and restaurant and retail development.
Expansion of existing 10-screen cinema into a 13-screen cinema, a Kohl’s Department Store located on 13 acres in San Antonio, TX, Chevrolet car dealership in Boerne, TX, and multiple other commercial retail and warehousing projects in San Antonio, TX.
Prepared construction documents and responsible for seven multi-family apartment complexes in San Antonio and Houston, three Walgreen’s stores, retail development adjacent to Silverado 16 Cinema, land planning and construction documents for three large commercial retail subdivisions, and a mixed use commercial/residential 73-acre subdivision in San Antonio, TX while overseeing projects under construction.
6/96 – 5/01 DESIGNER/ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc., San Antonio, TX. As an assistant project manager for Pape-Dawson, I was involved with the design of the IH 410/US 281 TxDOT Interchange, a new $122 million, 4 level interchange which included hydrologic and hydraulic studies and design, floodplain studies, and utility relocation (gas, water and sanitary sewer) design and cost estimate preparation. I have two years of TxDOT work experience and three years of experience doing private commercial land development similar to the services I currently provide (extended resume listing additional private land development work experience at Pape-Dawson available upon request).
1/95 – 6/96 designer Blackwell Environmental, Austin/San Antonio, TX. As a staff design engineer, I was involved with the Medina Lake Recharge Study and was responsible for collecting data of surface water run-off using methodologys approved by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), analyzing data and creating rating curves for each monitored station around the lake, preparation of monthly reports, and monitoring of all data collecting equipment. I also assisted in the design, collection of data, site inspection, quality control, and preparation of as-built surveys for a landfill and leachate collection system in Copperas Cove, TX.
